PDMS Alternative

Struggling with the challenges of PDMS and soft lithography? Our Transition Molding process at Parallel Fluidics enables rapid manufacturing of custom devices in thermoplastic materials like COP, PMMA, and PC.

Small Molecule friendly

PDMS can absorb and bind to small molecules like drugs and reagents, decreasing the intended concentration and confounding experiments. To that end, the NIH has released guidance discouraging PDMS as a biomaterial in some grant applications. Thermoplastics offer better precision for demanding experiments.

3 day lead time

Cycle through design iterations in days instead of months. Our proprietary Transition Molding technology enables unprecedented development speed.

Materials for every application

PMMA (Trade names: Acrylic, Plexiglas)  - A general purpose optical polymer suitable for a wide range of microfluidic projects.

PC (Trade names: Lexan, Makrolon) - A flexible, durable, and impact resistant material. Often used in high temperature devices.

COP (Trade name: Zeonor) - A high performance optical material with minimal autofluoresence and high thermal/solvent resistance. Great for the most demanding microfluidic applications.
